Mission Statement

We work to ensure that Bowls is enjoyable, entertaining, and accessible to our community.

About us:
Bowls Manawatu is the Governing Body for Lawn Bowls in the Greater Manawatu Region.

Working with 14 clubs around the region and committed to the practice and development of lawn bowls not just within Manawatu but throughout New Zealand.

The history of lawn bowls in Manawatu recognises Palmerston North Bowling Club being the oldest club established in 1889. The wide range of competition means that neither age or disability need stop a competitive spirit .

Bowls Manawatu has gained recognition as a major Centre with our players gaining international status, the success of our Centre Representatives (individuals and teams), Club teams gaining National titles and Coaches gaining World status.

Our Vision is to see the benefits of bowls enjoyed by the entire Manawatu community through our Mission to grow and promote the game of lawn bowls
