Information and Resources

Every year Manawatu put forward Boys & Girls, Singles and Pairs to play in a regional tournament to qualify for the National Secondary School Championships. The winners of the regional tournament between Gisborne – East Coast, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Manawatu go forward to the National Championships. The National Secondary School’s Championships gives you the chance to be noticed, to be put on the pathway to pull on the black shirt, to represent your country.

If you or your school would like to be involved please contact us.

Kittyhawks is a national singles competition for Under-20′s. It is played in sets format, the same as the Commonwealth Games format, to enable potential New Zealand Representatives the opportunity to experience the playing format for the Commonwealth Games.

A Regional Tournament is held each year, to qualify for the National Tournament. If anyone would like to enter, please contact the centre for more information. For more information about Kittyhawks check out: Bowls NZ Kittyhawks and Secondary Schools
