Any Greenkeeper can be nominated for a Bowls NZ Merit or Long Service Award.
These awards are to be presented to a greenkeeper for his or her work in the areas of research, implementation of new turf management techniques and/or management of a green to a very high standard over a number of years etc. To receive a Certificate of Merit the greenkeeper would have to be nominated by a local Greenkeeping Association including a CV and supporting references. The work that the greenkeeper is being nominated for must be relevant and useful to a number of clubs. You can also nominate your Greenkeeper for Greenkeeper of the Year.
